ErgoHD are dual-magnification TTL dental loupes, built by hand in our Los Angeles workshop by licensed opticians. Each pair gives you two magnifications in one loupe, so you can switch levels without taking your loupes off or reaching for a second pair. Below are the questions clinicians ask us most.
How do dual-magnification loupes work?
ErgoHD puts two magnifications in one loupe, for example 4.0x and 4.5x. You switch between them instantly without removing your loupes or keeping a second pair nearby.
Which magnification pair should I choose?
3.0/3.5x is our entry dual-lens option. 4.0/4.5x is the most popular. 5.0/5.5x is for high-magnification work, and 6.0/6.5x is for surgical precision.
How much do ErgoHD loupes cost?
3.0/3.5x is $1,400, 4.0/4.5x is $1,600, 5.0/5.5x is $1,800 and 6.0/6.5x is $2,000, frame included. Single-vision prescription lenses add $200.
Do I need to choose a working distance?
No. ErgoHD dual-lens technology does not need a working distance selection. You only send us your pupillary distance (PD).
How heavy are ErgoHD loupes?
Between 17 g and 22 g per eye, depending on the magnification you choose.
Can you build my prescription into ErgoHD?
Yes. We build single vision, astigmatism, bifocal and progressive prescriptions, reviewed by our licensed opticians. Single vision adds $200.
How long until I get my loupes?
1–2 weeks, including prescription loupes. Every pair is assembled in our Los Angeles workshop.
What is the refund and warranty?
You get a 30-day full refund on the loupes (prescription lenses are custom-made and not refundable), a lifetime warranty on the ErgoHD lens and 1 year on the frame.
