TTL HD dental loupes, answered
TTL HD are custom through-the-lens dental loupes, built by hand in our Los Angeles workshop by licensed opticians. The optics are set into the lens for your pupillary distance and working distance, so you sit upright and see sharply all day. Below are the questions dentists and hygienists ask us most.
What magnification should I choose?
2.5x suits most hygienists and first-time loupe users: wide view, deep focus. 3.3x gives more detail for experienced users. 4.0x is for fine restorative and specialist work.
How much do TTL HD dental loupes cost?
2.5x is $1,200, 3.3x is $1,300 and 4.0x is $1,500, frame included. Single-vision prescription lenses add $200.
How long until I get my loupes?
1–2 weeks, including prescription loupes. Every pair is made in our Los Angeles workshop.
Can you build my prescription into the loupes?
Yes. We build single vision, astigmatism, bifocal and progressive prescriptions, reviewed by our licensed opticians. Single vision adds $200.
What working distance do I need?
We build TTL HD at 360, 400, 440, 480 or 520 mm, matched to your posture. Our free PD and working distance guide shows how to measure at home.
How heavy are TTL HD loupes?
12 g per eye at 2.5x and 3.3x, and 20 g per eye at 4.0x.
Which frame should I pick?
ZenFlex is our best frame for prescriptions. Side Shield takes many prescriptions. Sport does not take prescription lenses.
What if they don't work for me?
You get a 30-day full refund on the loupes (prescription lenses are custom-made and not refundable), plus a lifetime warranty on the TTL HD optics.
